Step 1: Visit Gmail and log in with your account.
Step 2: Click the gear icon at the upper right corner of Gmail. In the pop-up menu, click View all in the THEME section.
Step 3: In the pop-up window, select Dark theme and click Save to save the changed settings.
Tip: You can also use any custom background image as your dark theme during the process. Just click My photos and then you can select the images you want from your Google Photos account. Under “ Featured “ tab, you are able to select one from the images provided by Google.

Step 2: In Chrome web store, search for Dusk.
Step 3: Click the Dusk from the search results, and then select Add to Chrome.
Step 4: Enable the Dusk extension and then refresh your Gmail.
Tip: You can also restart Google Chrome and then sign in to your Gmail.
After that, you should see a complete dark theme in Gmail.
If you don’t need the extension anymore, you can disable or remove the extension by visiting Chrome Settings > Extensions.
